Lifetime Warranty

SYNEX DATA stands behind the products and equipment we provide. Eligible products purchased directly from SYNEX DATA may be covered by our Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the terms, exclusions and limitations described below.

Warranty coverage varies by product, manufacturer, condition, application and transaction. Certain products may instead be covered exclusively by the original manufacturer’s warranty or by specific warranty terms provided at the time of purchase.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY COVERAGE

For products specifically sold with SYNEX DATA Limited Lifetime Warranty coverage, SYNEX DATA warrants to the original purchaser that the covered product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship during its eligible service life, provided the product is properly installed, operated, maintained and used for its intended purpose.

If an eligible product is determined by SYNEX DATA to have a covered defect, SYNEX DATA may, at its discretion, repair the product, replace it with the same or a functionally comparable product, or issue a credit up to the original purchase price.

MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES

New OEM products and certain equipment may be subject to the applicable manufacturer’s warranty instead of, or in addition to, warranty coverage provided by SYNEX DATA. Manufacturer warranty terms, durations, procedures and remedies are determined by the applicable manufacturer.

PRODUCTS & EQUIPMENT COVERED

Coverage may be available for eligible networking equipment, servers, storage systems, IT hardware, communications equipment, industrial equipment, replacement components and other products specifically designated by SYNEX DATA as covered at the time of sale.

EXCLUSIONS

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, the Limited Lifetime Warranty does not cover consumable or wear items; batteries; software, subscriptions or licenses; labor or services; damage caused by misuse, abuse, accident or neglect; improper installation, configuration or maintenance; unauthorized modification or repair; normal wear and tear; environmental damage; fire, flood or natural disasters; electrical problems, power surges or improper voltage; cosmetic damage that does not affect operation; or products used outside their intended specifications.

INDUSTRIAL & SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT

Industrial, mechanical, electrical and specialized equipment may be subject to manufacturer-specific warranty terms, operating limitations, maintenance requirements and exclusions. Unless SYNEX DATA expressly provides separate written Limited Lifetime Warranty coverage for such equipment, the applicable manufacturer warranty will govern.

RETURN AUTHORIZATION

Warranty returns require prior authorization from SYNEX DATA. Customers must obtain a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before returning equipment. Products returned without authorization may be refused. Shipping responsibilities and return procedures will be provided when the RMA is issued.

ORIGINAL PURCHASER ONLY

Unless otherwise agreed by SYNEX DATA in writing, warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Coverage terminates upon resale or transfer of the covered product.

LIMITATION OF WARRANTY

EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS WARRANTY PROVIDED BY SYNEX DATA IN WRITING, AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SYNEX DATA DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SYNEX DATA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM THE USE OR FAILURE OF ANY PRODUCT.
